WinAPIS FAQ
Frequently asked questions about WinAPIS
How does the 30 day trial period work?
The WinAPIS program will be fully operational for 30 days after you install it. After 30 days the program will stop functioning unless a correct registration code is entered for your airline. This code is based on your airline 2 or 3 letter code. After you have purchased WinAPIS, Anpeco will contact you to get your airline code and then give you the necessary registration code.
Customs says my crew and passenger are being combined?
When customs receives emails they only use 8 characters to identify the airline and flight. These 8 characters are the 2 or 3 digit airline code, 4 or 5 digit flight number, and the 'C' that identifies the crew vs passenger. If the total is more than 8 then the 'C' gets dropped and Customs assumes that the email is for passengers. If you have a 3 character airline code you must keep your flight numbers to 4 characters or less!! And 5 characters or less with a 2 character airline code.
Can WinAPIS be used with AOL?
Yes, but you will need the AOL2POP program from www.aol2pop.com.
What free email services are compatible with WinAPIS?We recommend www.hotpop.com or
www.myfastmail.com.
